Nestled at the very heart of the Islamic world, the UAE is unique in its embrace of the Western world. Here you can see the contrasts of the nomadic Bedouin people, and the opulence and splendor of the Sheikhs, set against a backdrop of Western lifestyles. In this tour, you will explore the unique cultural gems of the country, which form the soul of the nation.
Day 1 | Arrival: Guests will be met at the Dubai International Airport by our representative and transferred to their hotel in Dubai. They can enjoy the day at leisure, as they settle in.
Day 2 | Abu Dhabi: On this day, guests will explore Abu Dhabi, the distinctly Arabian sibling of the glitzy city of Dubai. They will visit the Falcon Hospital and meet the majestic falcons while they learn about the history of falconry as well as the life of the sharp and agile birds. They will then have a chance to explore Masdar City, the world’s most sustainable eco-city, which combines state-of-the-art technologies with the planning principals of traditional Arab settlements.
Day 3 | Dubai: On this day, guests will explore Dubai. Wake up early in the morning to enjoy the UAE’s oldest sport in action at the The Al Marmoum Camel Racetrack, situated in the fringes of the city. Before the races begin, you will have the opportunity to see the facilities and learn more about camels. You will get to experience this age-old cultural sport which is highly competitive and where the traditional and contemporary values mix.
They will then proceed to Sheikh Mohammed Centre for Cultural Understanding for a traditional Emirati lunch. Located in the Al Bastakiya trading village in the Al Fahidi Historic District, one of the oldest neighbourhoods in Bur Dubai. Enjoy a meal with local flair while chatting with an Emirati host about UAE culture, customs and religion.
In the evening, take a journey into winding narrow lanes of Bastakiya and its wind towers that reflect age-old architecture, to learn the basics of Islam in the courtyard of an ancient mosque. Guests will also have the opportunity to sample regional cuisine at Bastakiya Nights, where you will experience true Arabian warmth and hospitality over a lavish four- course dinner complete with dates and Arabic coffee.
Day 4 | Sharjah: On this day, explore the rich cultural heritage of the UAE in depth in Sharjah, a lively city with interesting artifacts in every corner, recently declared as the ‘Cultural Capital of the UAE.
Day 5 | Departure: Guests will be dropped off at the Dubai International Airport as per their departure time.
