Dilmun, one of most important ancient civilisations of the region and said to date to the third millennium BC, was a hub on a major trading route between Mesopotamia - the world's oldest civilisation - and the Indus Valley in South Asia. This tour will take you on the trail of the Dilmun Civilisation where you will learn more about their ways of life.
• A visit to Qal’at al Bahrain or the Bahrain Fort, one of Bahrain’s oldest military fortifications. This archaeological site, which is a UNESCO World Heritage site since 2005, is of great historical significance due to its use as the capital of the Dilmun Civilisation.
• A visit to Saar Burial Chambers, a spectacular site from the Dilmun Era, where a large number of interconnecting graves were excavated recently
• A visit to Barbar Temples, which were discovered in 1954. The complex consists of three successive temples dating back to the 2nd and 3rd millennium BC
